Salon 2060 shows recent works by Warmelink, which were specially created for the exhibition. The title 'we refugees' refers to the recent refugee policy in Europe. Paintings of politicians are displayed in front of the window. The 15 portraits are placed on simple wooden structures that look like billboards. In this way the politicians are not only watching the passerby, but they themselves become the ones to be looked at. The portraits show their tiredness and doubt. Somehow they become interchangeable. The installation reveals perhaps the biggest fear of all, the ability to show their real face.
