Airfares; It is recommend purchasing your ticket in advance to get a good deal. Garuda is a very comfortable air company, but you might get a better deal with other airlines. It just depends on how long you are happy to travel. If you travel from Europe, normally there is one stopover and the shortest flight will take about 16/18 hours. Try to at least arrive the day before the course starts so you have climatized to the weather and had a good sleep in. Especially when travelling from Europe or further away, you might find it will take you a few days to get into the new rhythm. If you want to arrive before the courses start, just let me know so we can help you find accommodation or book you into the course earlier.
-

Friends or Family wishing to come along
If your family or partner wish to come along, and will only participate in some of the cultural activities of the program, and not attending the Art workshop activities. These costs can be individually calculated upon the non- participants’ involvement with the cultural activities and attendance on day trips to Ubud. Please contact me or upon registration in the program let me know and I will calculate an individual cost for this situation.
Flights, Passports and Visas
It is your responsibility to ensure your passport is up to date prior to booking the course, and that your passport has more then 6 months validity of the expiry date. Please check that with your own passport office for international travellers attending the course.
Upon arrival in Bali you need a VISA for 30 days. Normally this is a stamp on arrival at customs and don't cost any money. Sometimes customs might scare you and make you pay, but always double check with someone else before paying money.
Advised is that you arrive a day before the course begins so you are settled and organised. It is your responsibility to ensure you are ready for the course. Depending where you travel from you will need time to get used to the climate and time difference.
Travel Insurance and health
Again it is your responsibility to ensure you have travel insurance, as it is one of the conditions of this course that you are insured. Once your flight is booked, you will need to confirm your flight details, as well as your insurance details with us.
Please ensure that should you have a health condition that you have your medication with you in Bali. Check for mandatory inoculations for Bali. Consult with your doctor in preparation for your Bali stay.
Be aware of Dengue, which is not common but the dengue mosquito is around. You are advised to cover yourself in the mornings with sunrise and in the evenings with sunset. Good mosquito repellent is also advised. Always sleep under a mosquito net.
Bali drinking water is only for showering and bathing. Use bottled water at all times for drinking and brushing teeth. Drink more water then you are used to at home. This is the tropics and you need at least 2/3 liters a day if not more.
Baggage
Your baggage and personal items are your responsibility at all times and it is your responsibility to ensure that your belongings are safe, and not the personnel of your villa or course leaders.
