Man in Suit; a participatory performance where storytelling, lecture, video and installation were combined.

Man in Suit responds and reflects on the current refugee debate in Europe and the Netherlands and questioned

the notion of borders, nationality and citizenship.

During the performance, the audience contributed to a controlled and regulated registration process. The

crowd was suddenly part of a situation where groups were divided by illogical features such as the colour of

their eyes and were rewarded differently in correspondence with their behavior, which was partly controlled,

partly directed. The audience selected a “lucky” participant who had the right to decide over other candidates.
